Citizens of the Court
helps students succeed in school, on the tennis court, and in life! The after-school program runs Monday through Thursday during the academic year, for students in 3rd-6th grades. A team of tennis and educational professionals manage the program, with assistance from an energetic core of volunteers. The principal elements that are woven throughout the curriculum include: Life Skills Training: Emphasizing respect, participation, goal setting, personal responsibility, teamwork, and conflict resolution for success on and off the court. Tennis Instruction: Skills, strategy and sportsmanship. Academic Enrichment: Computer instruction and projects that reinforce math, reading and writing. Citizens of the Court is free to students and our school partners including a healthy snack and transportation on our Big Blue Bus *This program used to be called Tennis and Technology (TnT). We changed the name to Citizens of the Court (C²), because this name better reflects what we do. We try to help students become good citizens which ties into our core mission of “Empowering youth to be successful on and off the court!”
